Objective vs. subjective: why keep them apart
Facts and opinions answer different questions. Here is how to separate them.
Two different questions
Objective data answers “what can this athlete do, and can we prove it?” Subjective evaluation answers “do we believe in this athlete, and do they fit us?”
What goes wrong when they blend
A strong opinion can quietly inflate a number, and a missing number can quietly sink a good prospect. Keeping them separate makes both visible.
A simple habit
Write down the facts first, with source and date. Then write your opinion and the evidence behind it. Compare evaluators and discuss disagreements. See how scoring works.
